JT/T617-2018 – The Regulations concerning Road Transportation of Dangerous Goods in China

Because the dangerous goods road transportation accidents are frequent and costly, and the legal system to regulate the dangerous goods road transportation is imperfect, the Chinese government has realized that lack of a comprehensive regulation to standardize the road transportation and reach international standard. To avoid these negative events, the Chinese government decided to strengthen and standardize the regulations concerning road transportation of dangerous goods. The panel inspired and learned from ADR management framework and draft out the China’s regulations concerning road transportation of dangerous goods – JT/T617-2018 and took effective on Dec 01st, 2018. Detailed comprehension of the existed new regulation concerning road transport is the first and most fundamental step of managing dangerous goods ground transportation.
